Chiemsee, Bavaria and the journey home via Epernay

26th May 2006 to 28th May 2006

Friday 26th May - We set off for Chiemsee in Bavaria, where we boarded the Paddle Steamer 'Ludwig Fessler', the Flagship of the Chiemsee Schifffahrt built in 1926 for the cruise across Chiemsee to Herrenchiemsee. Saturday 27th May - Our hosts bid us a pleasant farewell and we head off in the pouring rain for our overnight stop in Metz. Sunday 28th May - After breakfast we head off across France, stopping for Lunch in Epernay, then head for home through the vineyards passing close to a place with the name Dormans !. Very many thanks for a wonderful holiday to Terry and Mark our excellent Skinners Coach drivers.
